Apps & Parent Resources
This category covers apps, digital services and resources with a defined purpose for parents, caregivers or families. Explain the task the resource supports and identify the content or functions included in the application.
Review takes place online through submitted materials and authorized access. There is no entry fee.

What belongs in this category
Examples include family planning tools, parent information platforms, activity resources and apps used in family routines. Identify the platform, language, version or release and the intended users.
A broad description of a website is not enough to identify an application. State which service, content collection or set of functions you want considered. Medical or diagnostic uses require an eligibility check.
Arrange access and explain data use
Provide an authorized demonstration account, review link or other suitable access without including real children’s personal information. Do not submit passwords for personal accounts or export user records.
Explain what is free, what requires payment and whether a subscription renews. Provide the applicable privacy information, account requirements and age restrictions. If an access link will expire, arrange a review period that allows the complete application to be considered.
Information to prepare
Include:
- The official resource name, provider, version or release and supported platforms.
- Intended users, age guidance and the main task.
- A description of the content and functions included.
- Authorized access and instructions for reaching the relevant content.
- Screenshots or demonstrations showing the submitted version.
- Pricing, subscription and account information shown to users.
- Privacy, data-use and accessibility information relevant to the service.
- Sources supporting important factual, educational or performance claims.
If functions differ between platforms or subscription levels, identify those differences. A demonstration should represent the version families can actually access.
How the information is reviewed
The accessible version is considered alongside its description and supporting materials. Do the functions and content match the submitted purpose? Can a family understand the limits, costs and account conditions before using it? Claims are considered against the evidence provided.
The review does not establish privacy certification, measure outcomes for children or provide ongoing monitoring of a platform.
Find a resource record
A published record identifies the recognized version, platform and scope. A substantial content or feature change may require a new application; a prior award should not be carried forward to a different version without review.
Submit and keep the record accurate
Prepare the access arrangements and documents before submitting. Applications are accepted throughout the year, with review normally taking about two months after complete materials and access are confirmed.
After recognition, report material changes through the product-change process. Digital award rights and NPF registry inclusion remain free for the recognized scope.
