Feeding & Mealtime
This category covers products used to prepare, serve, store or manage food and drinks for children and families. A useful application explains the task the product is designed for, who can use it and what a caregiver needs to know before using it.
Applications are reviewed online. There is no entry fee, and no product samples are required.

What belongs in this category
Examples include bowls, plates, cups, utensils, feeding accessories, lunch containers and food-storage products. Accessories should be identified by their own product name and model, together with any equipment they are designed to fit.
Choose the category that reflects the product’s main use. A lunch container belongs here; a bag designed primarily for carrying family essentials may be better suited to Carriers & On-the-go.
Foods and specialist claims
Food, supplements, medical nutrition and products promoted to treat feeding difficulties require a scope check before an application is accepted for review. A category selection does not establish eligibility for these uses.
Claims about allergens, nutrition, sterilization or antimicrobial performance need evidence that addresses the exact claim and product. A general description of a material does not establish the performance of a finished product.
Information to prepare
Include the following, as applicable to the product:
- The product name, model or version, and the sizes or variants included in the application.
- The intended age range and use, including relevant limitations.
- Materials, capacity and dimensions, with a clear description of parts that contact food or drinks.
- Current packaging, labels, instructions and warnings.
- Cleaning, storage and maintenance instructions, including any dishwasher, microwave or temperature restrictions.
- Photographs that show the product, its parts and its identifying details.
- Supporting documents for each important claim made in the application.
Where compatibility matters, name the equipment or replacement parts involved. Submit the instructions supplied to customers, rather than relying solely on a promotional brochure.
How the information is reviewed
Can a caregiver tell how to use, clean and store the product from the supplied information? The stated use, age range and instructions should agree with the supporting documents. If a container is described as microwave suitable, identify the relevant limits and evidence for that claim.
The review is based on the materials submitted. It does not involve feeding trials or establish nutritional suitability for an individual child.
Find a product record
Published records identify the recognized product, brand, model or version and award year. Compare those details with the product you are considering; recognition of one model does not extend automatically to other sizes, accessories or formulations.
Submit a Feeding & Mealtime application
You can apply at any time of year. A complete application normally takes about two months to review, starting when the materials are confirmed as complete. Select this category in the application and describe any variants you want considered.
