Approved artwork

Use the supplied artwork. Keep all wording, the NPF identity and the original colors. State the award year beside the mark, using the year in the official record. Scale the whole image proportionally. Do not redraw the mark, stretch it, crop away its wording, add an award level or combine it with wording that suggests a different qualification.

The gold appearance of the supplied artwork is part of its design. It does not create a separate “Gold Award” category.

Placement and legibility

Give the mark enough surrounding space to distinguish it from product claims, logos and packaging text. Use a background on which the award name and accompanying statement remain clear. Do not place important artwork behind the mark or add a solid rectangle to an otherwise transparent file.

Check the final placement at its intended viewing size. Readers should be able to identify Mom’s Pick Awards and read the accompanying award year without opening an enlarged image. If the wording becomes unreadable on a mobile screen or small label, enlarge the mark or use a different placement. A file that is sharp at screen size may still be unsuitable for a larger print placement.

Product identification

The covered product must be evident beside the mark. On a page featuring several products, identify the recognized model explicitly and attach the mark to that model. Link an online mark or nearby award statement to the product's public record.

For a product collection page, use a statement that names the specific recognized item rather than placing an unexplained mark above the entire collection.

Permitted wording

Use factual descriptions tied to the recorded identity:

  • “Recognized by Mom’s Pick Awards in 2026.”
  • “[Exact product name and model] received Mom’s Pick Awards recognition in 2026.”
  • “View this product's NPF award record.”

Use the actual award year in place of the example year. If context could imply hands-on testing, explain that the program reviews submitted product information and supporting documents.

Uses that are not permitted

Do not describe the award as “NPF-certified safe,” “government approved,” “clinically proven by NPF,” “tested by moms” or “America's best.” Mom’s Pick recognition does not establish those claims.

If you make a separate product-performance claim, support it with the relevant evidence and distinguish it from the award statement. Do not imply that NPF conducted testing it did not perform.

Do not omit the recorded award year or substitute the current year in an award statement, place the mark on a product that has not been recognized or suggest that a physical purchase created a higher award status.

Changes and status

Report a change to design, materials, intended use, warnings, claims or software functionality before applying existing artwork to the changed version. Recognition of the previous version does not automatically transfer.

If recognition is withdrawn, stop presenting the mark as current recognition. If a certificate or record is replaced, use the current issue and follow its stated product scope. Historical descriptions must clearly identify the original product, year and status.
