Mom’s Pick Awards

Apply for product recognition.

An authorized brand, manufacturer, publisher or resource provider may submit a clearly identified product for consideration. Apply for the product and version you can document, and name a contact who can answer questions about the materials.

Mom’s Pick Awards is a nonprofit program of the National Parenting Foundation. The review considers product information and supporting evidence submitted online.

How the program works

Applications are accepted throughout the year. There is no application or review fee, and no samples need to be shipped.

A complete application normally takes about two months to review. The period starts when the materials are confirmed as complete, rather than when you first contact the program or begin a form.

Recognition is not guaranteed. Every application receives a decision or a clear explanation of any information or scope issue that needs to be resolved.

Before you apply

Start with four practical checks:

Prepare What to confirm
Eligibility You are authorized to apply, and the product’s intended use is within the review scope.
Category Choose the category that best matches the product’s main purpose.
Product identity Use the same official name, model or version throughout the form, labels and documents.
Supporting evidence Gather instructions, product images and materials that support the important claims in the application.

From application to decision

Submit the form and materials online. Your receipt confirms that the application has been saved; it does not indicate recognition.

The materials are checked for identity, scope and completeness. If more information is needed, the request identifies what is missing. Once the application is complete, the private status page shows that it is in review and gives an estimated decision date.

The review then considers the applicable criteria and supporting materials. The decision is communicated to the authorized applicant.

What recognized products receive

Recognized products receive a digital award certificate, permission to use the digital award mark and a public NPF registry record. All three are free.

Trophies, printed certificates and physical labels may be purchased separately after recognition. Ordering is optional and has no effect on the decision or digital benefits.

Questions before or after submission

Application support can help with eligibility, categories, evidence, upload difficulties or access to an existing application. A scope question is useful when a product has a specialist use; it is not a required step for every applicant.

For an existing application, use the verified access process before sharing private review information.

Start with the materials ready

Use the checklist to check the application before you submit. The form asks for contact and product details, supporting documents and confirmation of the information that may be published if the product is recognized.
