Keep your product record accurate.

Tell us about misspelled product names, an incorrect official link or a contact change. Supply the correct wording and enough information to establish the change. We check corrections before updating the record and any affected certificate. This service is free.

A marketing rename may be a correction if the product is otherwise unchanged and that continuity can be established. It is not a way to transfer recognition to a different model.

Changes to construction, materials, formulation, intended age, warnings, claimed performance or software functionality may require a new assessment. State when the change took effect and whether the earlier version remains available.

Keep the existing award attached only to the version named in its record. A new application for a revised product is free.

The previous record continues to identify the previous version. Where a change affects the accuracy or continued applicability of recognition, its status may be updated with a dated explanation. Do not assume that reporting a change immediately grants recognition to the new version.

Use recipient access to verify that you are authorized to request an amendment. Public readers who notice a mismatch should use the NPF concern form instead.

An approved correction may replace a certificate issue while retaining the same product reference. A new recognized version receives a record that identifies that version. A withdrawn record states the effective date and published reason.

These actions concern product identity and the basis for recognition. A recipient's decision not to buy physical items, cancel an order or request an order remedy is not a reason to change award status.
